UN Ocean Conference in France 2025 (Fully Funded) applications are now open. This 5-day event will take place in Nice, France, from June 9 to 13, 2025. Open to applicants from all over the globe, the conference is a unique opportunity to engage with global leaders, policymakers, and experts working to conserve and sustainably use our oceans.

The 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) in France aims to advance the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14, which focuses on conserving and sustainably using the oceans, seas, and marine resources. The Summit will focus on Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG14). The Earth Journalism Network will select participants to attend the United Nations Ocean Conference 2025 in France.

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is providing a fully supported fellowship program for journalists interested in attending and covering the conference. This scholarship covers travel medical insurance, flights, lodging, meals, ground transportation, visa fees, and a daily stipend for conference expenses.

Qualifications for the Fellowship:

  • Professional journalists who work in print, radio, television, and the internet.
  • Eligible are staff members and freelance reporters from local, national, international, and community media outlets.
  • shown expertise in covering topics about the ocean.
  • Availability to attend the June 7–14, 2025, conference in Nice.
  • English proficiency.
